Prior to Takeda, Ms. Sweeny served in several roles at Shire Pharmaceuticals plc (later acquired by Takeda Pharmaceuticals Company Limited) from August 2010 to January 2019, including Vice President, Head of US Marketing from September 2017 to January 2019 and Vice President, Global Product Strategy Lead from December 2016 to August 2017. Prior to joining Shire, Ms. Sweeny served in commercial positions of increasing responsibility at AMAG Pharmaceuticals and Sanofi Genzyme Corporation.
